The fall 2011 season of the Bangkok Pool League is now officially over.  A few make-up games were made up after the season ended, and a few playoff games were scheduled and played due to tying records after week 14.  Here are the final results:

8-BALL

Red Division:  HUSTLERS A (21 points) won the division, and PLAYERS A got 2^nd place.  The division was not decided until a head-to-head match in week 14.

Orange Division:  SPORTSMAN B (22 points) won the division, and SPORT 20-2 A got 2^nd place. 

Yellow Division:   JERSEY PUB (21 points) won the division, and DURTY NELLY’S got 2^nd place.

Green Division:  BUTTERFLY BAR (21 points) won the division, and The PICKLED LIVER (21 points) got 2^nd place.  The teams were tied at the end of the season, but Butterfly won via the head-to-head records.

Blue Division:  SPORTSMAN E (25 points) won the division, and OASIS BAR (23 points) got 2^nd place.

A total of 516 people played in 8-Ball over the course of the season.  Most of the divisional races remained tight until the last few weeks of the season, and it was the competitively closest 8-Ball season the league has ever had.  The individual leaders by division were Neil (Sport 20-2) in the Orange Division with 58 points and a record of 22-6; Paul (Moonshine) in the Yellow Division with 58 points and a record of 22-6; Paul (Sportsman D) in the Green Division, with 52 points and a record of 19-5; and Simon (Sportsman E) with 53 points and a record of 20-4.  O Rayong (Players A) led both the Red Division and the entire league with 66 points, and a dominating record of 26-1.

9-BALL

Red Division:  HUSTLERS A (11-1) won the Division, and @POOL 71 (10-2) got 2^nd Place.

Orange Division:  PLAYERS B (10-1) won the Division, and BUSH GARDENS (9-3) got 2^nd place.

Yellow Division:  MASH BAR (11-1) won the Division, and SPORT 20-2 got 2^nd place.

Green Division:  SPORTSMAN C (10-2) won the Division, and BUTTERFLY BAR A (10-2) got 2^nd place.  The 2 teams finished the season with identical records, and SPORTSMAN C won in a playoff match.

Blue Division:  Newcomer SIDE POCKET (11-1) won the Division.  CLASSIC CLUB, HIDEAWAY (Black) OASIS BAR, and BUTTERFLY B all finished with identical 7-5 records, and a 4-way playoff was arranged.  CLASSIC CLUB won, to get 2^nd place.

All trophies will be awarded at the End-Of-Season 8-BALL Singles Tournament, which will be held at The BALL IN HAND.  The date has not as yet been determined, but will be posted here shortly.

There will be a COMMITTEE MEETING on Wednesday, January 11^th at HILLARY BAR (Soi 11) at 5:00 PM.  The date for the Singles Tournament will be determined then, along with a number of other issues facing the league as we go forward into 2012.  That will include a date for the start of the next season.  The meeting is NOT closed.  It is open to everyone who plays in the league, and a good opportunity for people to express their opinions and concerns.
