The fall 2011 season has reached the halfway point, and the the statistics through week 7 have now been uploaded.
Only 367 people have played so far in 8-Ball, so the numbers are quite down from last season. While many in the city are busy dealing with the flood, bracing for them, or escaping from them, quite a few diehards are doing what they can to maintain the norm. All of the divisional races remain competitively close, and the 2nd half figures to be interesting.
Due in part to the flood, and for various other reasons, there have been quite a few postponed matches. There is no great rush to get them re-scheduled, but they do need to be made up before week 14 so we can close out the season. Please also remember to get the scores and scoresheets to me so they can be recorded.
Once again, my sympathies go out to all those who have been negatively affected by the flood. It has hurt some worse than others, but all of us who live here are feeling it in one way or another. Those of us that flew back from Jakarta were all stunned by how empty the planes were. Hang in there.
