Week 8 of the pool league season got underway with a flourish, and the back half should prove quite interesting. There were some great matches, and some really unusual matches.
Sport 22 brought their side to Oasis 2 to avenge their 21-20 loss in week 1 of 9-Ball. The first person to report the score to me said it ended up as a 19-19 draw, as there were no players left on either side that were sober enough to still see the table. The 2nd person I spoke to said it ended up 18-16, but he was not sure who was ahead as he was too drunk. The next 2 people I spoke to could not remember anything on the night other than waking up on Thursday morning with a massive headache. I have decided to award 1 point each to Heineken and Jaegermeister, and give losses to both sides.
There was a great deal of chest-thumping between Rob (Players) and Steve (Cho Cho Bar) prior to Steve's bringing his team into The Players. Steve thought he may have overdone it, and expected his side to be up against a team he could not beat. He figured that if he were going to lose, he might as well do it with as little dignity as possible. He barfined 4 katoeys, and sent them in to The Players to take the steam out of their better players. It proved to be a very successful tactic.

My efforts in collecting scoresheets keep getting me drunk. I went out last night with the intention of hitting 6 bars. I made the mistake of starting with Sports Bar and Oasis 2, and I dont think I ever left Soi 13.. I don't remember too much, but did wake up this morning with 3 of the missing 8-Ball scoresheets.
