3 WEEKS TO GO - 9-BALL PDF Print
Written by Mark D

The season is coming down to the wire, and there are still some important matches left to play.

GOLD DIVISION.

The fat lady seems to be singing for defending League Champion Metro Bar A. They have won only once this season, and have not been the same team since Neil called the coaching foul on Henning in last season's final. Newcomer Rack Em Up(18) is currently in first place. They have yet to play their friendly, though, and will have a tough match this week against 2nd place Roadhouse(14). Hillary Bar(12) and The Players(9) each have friendlies left to play, but look to be rounding out the Championship playoffs. Country Road Cowboy(5), Metro Bar A(5), and Corner Bar(3) look to be headed toward the Plate playoff.

SILVER DIVISION.

Hideaway Jack(17) has a lock on first place, and will be coasting into the Divisional Champion playoff, assured of the home field advantage. Rumors that the pool table at Hideaway started out as a torture device during the inquisition have yet to be proven, but home field advantage will be keeping Jack smiling. Country Rd 22(11), Happiness Krap(10), Dubliner(8), Moonshine(8) and Det 5(7) will compete for the remaining 3 playoff spots for the divisional championship. Happiness Krap is still reeling from it's confrontation with the Hideaway Jaegermonster. Newcomer Tokyo Joe's(5) can still make the field, but has its work cut out. Happiness Krap, Moonshine, and Det 5 still have friendlies to play, so will only be able to pick up points in 2 of the remaining 3 weeks.

RED DIVISION

Newcomer Bully Pub(16) has a solid lead on first place with only 3 weeks to go, but Happiness Ka(13) can still conceivably catch them. Flaming Moe's(10), Actual Office A(8), Salute Bar(6) and Popeyes(6) are still in the hunt. Salute Bar and Actual Office still have a make-up game left to play, and it could have something to say regarding who gets to play in the Championship playoff. The loser will likely be headed for the Plate playoff. Pickles(3) already has its place locked up in the Plate playoff. The top 3 teams, Bully Pub, Happiness Ka, and Flaming Moe's each have to play a friendly during the next 3 weeks, so the playoff picture is still unclear.

BLUE DIVISION.

Hideaway Black(15) is in First place for now, but it's fate is not in its own hands yet. Larry's Dive(12), Fun House(11), Crazy Hot(10), and Metro Bar B(8) are still in contention for the Championship playoffs. Hideaway Black will be playing its friendly next week, so the gap will close. Crazy Hot and Harry's Bar(7) also have friendlies yet to play, so Harry's Bar seems to be Plate playoff bound. Last week's win by Olive Oyl(3), their first of the season, will not be enough to keep them from competing in the plate playoffs. Congratulations to Ying, though, on her 2 wins on the night, even though it took her out of contention for the wooken spoon.
