I had the opportunity to attend the soft opening of a new pool venue named The Sports Academy.  It is located above the big seafood restaurant on Sukhumvit Road, just off the Asoke intersection.  It is the largest venue if its kind i've seen in the area.  10 brand new brunswick tables, 3 large VIP rooms for private play, large screen TV's, and a kitchen for food.  It's an impressive place for a good night out playing pool. 

Boy, formerly of The Corner Bar, will be the pool manager there.  Boy has been playing in the pool league longer than I have, and I want to take this opportunity to wish him well.  I'm sure others will want to stop by to pay their respects.  He will be missed at Queens Park Plaza.  Now might be a good time to play him, as he is yet to have logged 1,000,000 hours on the new tables.  That is likely to change in a week or two, though.
