Afterwards the results are what they are, ie. games with no results and no info on possible rescheduling will result in the game not counting at all.

League Singles Tournament - 8-Ball PDF Print

Monday, 23 November 2009

breakingnews.jpgThis season of the pool league will end, as always, with a season-ending Singles tournament.  All trophies will be awarded, and the balance of the league revenue will be spent on door prizes.  The date for the 8-Ball tournament will be Saturday, Decemer 12th.  The venue will be The Ball In Hand on Sukhumvit soi 4.

Further details will follow, but I wanted to alert everyone to the date, as many make travel plans over the holiday season.

There will be a committee meeting on Wednesday, Dec 2nd, at The Hideaway Bar on Soi 22 in the Queens Park Plaza at 6:00 PM.  Some of the details for the Singles Tournament will be discussed then, as well as plans for next season.  All are invited to attend and speak about any concerns they might have.

The league statistics have now been uploaded though week 11.  I will hold off on recapping the standings, as there are too many missing results.

I will be away for the last two weeks of the season.  Peder and Will will be tending to league matters in my absense, so please contact either if there is a need.

The 8-Ball forms should be handled the same way.  Please see to it that they find their way to Hideaway, and Will will collect them there.  Will will also have access to the fax machine.  The fax number is 02-258-5265.  I will forward any E-mails I get to Will.  Will can be reached at 084-545-3578.

The 9-Ball results should be sent via text message to Peder.  His number is 083-881-1422.  Please address any problems that might arise to either Peder or Will.

WEEK 10 PDF Print

Monday, 02 November 2009

The statistics through week10 have now been loaded in.  There are now 4 weeks left in this season.  Below is a recap of how things are shaping up.  I will remind people for one last time that I cannot record the results of a match if I do not have a scoresheet (8-Ball) or a call from someone (9 Ball) informing me of a score.  Hopefully, it will not affect the final standings, but once the season ends it will be too late.

8-BALL: All 5 divisions remain pretty tight, and most will likely not be decided until week 13 or14.

Red Div:  Oasis 1 is in front with 12 points.  Oasis 2 (10 points), Players (9-points) and Metro Bar (8 points) are just behind, but well within reach.  Country Road and Bali Hugh are ineligible, as they have replaced teams that have dropped out.

Blue Div:  Hustlers, Sportsman A and Hillary Bar are all even with 11 points.

Green Division:  Roadhouse enjoys a 3 point lead with 16 points, but Pickled Liver (13 points) and Cho Cho Bar B (12 points) are still in it.  Bush Garden (11 points), Moonshine (10 points) and Flaming Moe's (9 points) will likely have a say in how things end up.

Tan Div:  Sportsman B (15 Points), Jersey Pub (14 points) and Sports Corner A (12 points) are all still alive for 1st place.

Yellow Div:  Sports Corner B (13 points) and Big Mango (12 points) are in front, but Butterfly Bar (9 points)has re-stocked for a season-ending run.

9-BALL:  Unlike 8-Ball, 1st place seems to be all but decided in all but the Tan division.  2nd place, though, is still wide open.

Red Div:  Players, at 9-0, has a strong lead for the Championship.  Hillary Bar, Oasis 1 and Hillary Bar are all in contention for 2nd place.

Blue Div:  Oasis 2, at 10-0, has the championship all but sewn up.  Moonshine, Sport 20-2, Sportsman A, Legends and Sports Academy will fight it out for 2nd place.

Green Div:  Badabing has a solid lead for the championship.  Pool 13, Target, Bush Gardens, Chow Box and Crazy Hot will contend for 2nd place.

Tan Div:  On's Place has a narrow lead for 1st, but Crystal Lounge, Sports Corner, Butterfly and Silver Dollar can still win it.
