The Spring 2009 season came to an end last week with the week 14 games.  In terms of competitiveness, this was probably the league's best season.  In 9-Ball, 2 divisions will have to be sorted out by a play-off.  Flaming Moe's and Moonshine will meet on Monday at Metro Bar to determine the Championship of the Green Division.  The Silver Dollar and Sport Corner will meet at The Sportsman on Wednesday to do the same for the Tan Division.

SINGLES TOURNAMENTS-  The 8-Ball Season will officially end at the Singles Tournament, and I want to remind everyone that all are invited.  Those that only played 9-Ball are welcome to join in.  The venue is The Ball In Hand on Soi 4.  They will be open at 11:00 AM, and the tables will be free for practice.  The Tournament is expected to get underway at 2:00 PM, and we will try to accommodate everyone in the draw.  There will be a free food buffet, and people will be responsible only for their own bar tabs.  I expect roughly 100 door prizes to be given out.  It has been a great season, and it is only fitting that it end with a great party.

FINAL STANDINGS

8-BALL

Red Division- The Players (19 points) gets the Championship.  The Runner-up goes to Oasis 1 (16 points).

Blue Division- Oasis 2A (21 points) gets the Championship.  The Old Other Office (13 points) gets the runner-up.

Green Division- Sport 20-2 (19 points) pulled off a draw against Hideaway in week 14 to secure the Championship.  The Pickled Liver (18 points) will be runner-up.

Tan Division-  Sports Corner B (21 points) won its last 2 matches to win the Championship by a narrow margin over runner-up Cho Cho Bar B (20 points).

9-BALL 

Red Division-  The Players, 10-2, wins the Championship.  Oasis 1, at 9-3, will get the runner up.

Blue Division-  The Corner Bar, 11-1, will get the Championship.  Det 5, at 9-3, will get the runner-up.

Green Dvision-  The four way tie has dwindled down to two.  Flaming Moe's and Moonshine will meet on Monday at Metro Bar to decide who gets the Championship and who gets runner-up.

Tan Division-  The 3-way tie became 2 last week when The Green Room was able to pull off the upset over On's Place.  The Silver Dollar and Sport Corner will meet on Wednesday at The Sportsman in Washington Square to determine who gets the Championship and who gets the runner-up.
