Only 2 weeks left in the regular season, and there is still plenty left to be decided. Remember that the top 4 teams in each division will compete for the Divisional Championship. The bottom 3 teams will compete in a round robin tournament for the Plate Championship.
GOLD DIVISION
Rack Em Up(20) is in control of first place. Week 12's match with 2nd place Roadhouse(14) proved to be the decider. The winner was not determined until a 5th game when the score was 2-2 in the 8th match. Rack Em Up still has a friendly to play at Moonshine in week 14, and can only add 2 more points, but the gap is now too large for Roadhouse to make up. Hillary Bar(12) played its friendly this week, and remains in 3rd place. The Players(11) is in 4th, but will not be able to pick up any points in week 13 as they will be playing their friendly against happiness Krap. A win against Country Road Cowboy in week 14 will gaurantee them a place in the top 4. Metro Bar A(5) got back on the winning track, but it is likely too little too late. Country Road Cowboy(5) and Corner Bar (3) will be heading into the Plate playoffs. Incidently, Country Road Cowboy is now playing it's home games on the 2nd floor of The Cocktail Club on soi Cowboy. The walk through the first floor can have a debilitating effect on ones pool game. If Corner bar and Metro Bar A meet there in the Plate playoffs, it could be a test of their concentration.
SILVER DIVISION
Hideaway Jack(17) is firmly in control of 1st place, despite their postponed match with Dubliner in week 12. Country Road 22(13) is peaking at the right time, though, and could very well repeat their upset win in the playoffs from last season. Happiness Krap(12) got back on the winning track last week against Moonshine, and has a strong hold on 3rd. Moonshine(8) and Dubliner(8) are tied for the 4th and last Championship playoff spot, but Dubliner clearly has the advantage. Dubliner has a make-up game yet to play, and Moonshine will be playing a friendly in week 14. Det 5(7) is currently 6th, but can still make it in if both Dubliner and Moonshine falter. Tokyo Joe's(5) will be heading into the Plate playoffs, where they are very much capable of winning. The only way for Happiness Krap to avoid another face-off with the dreaded Jaegermonster would be a 1st round playoff loss.
RED DIVISION
Bully PUB(16) took advantage of Happiness Ka's friendly last week to pull a bit further ahead, and is in good position to finish 1st, despite the friendly that they have yet to play in week 14. Happiness Ka(13) is still in 2nd place, but will be hosting Bully Pub this week in a game that will likely decide the Divisional Champion. A win by happiness Ka would put them 1 point behind, but they can win outright in week 14 against Salute while Bully Pub has its friendly. Flaming Moe's(11) remains in 3rd, but will be playing a friendly this week. Their destiny will be determined by 4th place Salute bar(10) and 5th place Actual Office A(9) who each have 2 games left to play plus a make-up game between them. Popeyes(6) and newcomer Pickle(3) will be heading to the Plate playoffs.
BLUE DIVISION
Hideaway Black(15) remains in first place. They played their friendly in week 12, but 2nd place Larry's Dive(12) failed to take advantage of the opportunity by losing 2-6 to last place Olive Oyl. I'm guessing the bar bill was significant. Fun House(11) had a postponement. With 3 games left to play they are still in the race. Crazy Hot(11) is also still alive in the Championship hunt, but will be playing it's friendly this week. Metro Bar B(8) is also still alive, with 3 games left to play. They have a home game this week against Hideaway Black. A win would put them in the drivers seat for the Championship playoff at Crazy Hot's expense. Harry's Bar(8) is also still alive, but has a friendly left to play. Last place Olive Oyl(5) is making a late rally, having won their last 2 games. Captain Ying, with only 2 wins on the season after week 11(1 against her husband), has now won 4 straight!
With the current season winding down, the playoff picture is starting to shape up.
YELLOW DIVISION
The Corner Bar(23) has a commanding hold on first place, and can afford to coast into the playoffs. The balance of the Championship playoff picture, though, still remains up in the air. Det 5A(15) is currently in 2nd place, but will be playing it's remaining games against Corner Bar and 3rd place Roadhouse(14). Happiness(13) is in 4th place, but will be playing at Corner Bar in week 14. Salute Spots(12) and Powelly's(10) round out the possibilities, but one or possibly both will likely be heading into the Plate playoff, where they will meet Down Under(7) and Crazy Hot(2)
GREEN DIVISION
Rack Em Up(18) is holding on to a precarious lead, but Hillary Bar(17) still has a game to make up. Hillary Bar can win out if they win all 3 games left for them. Moonshine Bar(14) and Det 5B(14) are tied at the moment, but will meet in week 14 in a match that may well determine the Championship playoff picture. Flaming Moe's is still in the hunt, but will be hosting a motivated Hillary Bar team this week. A win by Flaming Moe's may well put them ahead of the loser of the Moonshine/Det 5B match. Actual Office A(7), Sports Corner(7) and Fun House(6) will be competing for the plate.
PURPLE DIVISION
The Players and Country Rd Cowboy are currently tied with 17 points. The Players, though, still have a make up game against last place Actual Office B, and should have the advantage. Hideaway Bar(15) is in 3rd place, but should have a tough match at 4th place Butterfly Bar (13) this week. Salute Stripes(12) is currently in 5th, but can still make the Championship playoffs. Cho Cho Bar(9), Pickles(4) and Actual Office B(3) will be preparing for the plate playoffs.
